This association includes Kool Moe Dee, MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh, Just-Ice, Heavy D, Public Enemy and KRS-One. The official purpose was to launch an appeal for calm to the African American community but to the Hip-Hop. Unofficially, this coup was capable of proving the majors and the media that the movement could be radical, knowing self-discipline and avoid any connection between rap and violence, leaving a stable commercial funds for major movement.
